Our panel of IT Leaders are:
Giles Crouch: Giles is principal and CIO of Ekspansiv, a firm which helps businesses thrive in the digital age. He has over 25 years working with various technologies. As a polymath, Giles brings to bear marketing, digital anthropology, design thinking and behavioural economics, creating unique solutions to business challenges. He’s helped companies bring new and emerging tech to market globally. He has been deeply involved in Big Data analytics, artificial intelligence, social media, cybersecurity and digital transformations. Giles is regularly interviewed by news media on issues of technology and society.
Daya Pillay: Daya Pillay has over 40 years of experience in IT. Currently, he is the Manager of Information Services at Halifax Water. He has a varied background that includes both the private and public sectors. Daya has experience in the full gamut of IT jobs. He started as a programmer, moved on to be a business analyst, then project manager and ended up in management. He has usually been at the forefront of technology. His vision allowed the city of Halifax to be an early adopter of the web and he has presented at several conferences on trends on the web. He crafted a 5 year IT Strategy for Halifax Water and is currently implementing that Strategy.
Angela McCarthy: Angela is an IT Leader with 20 years experience building and leading technology teams. Her background is in Web Development, Quality Assurance, Project and Service Delivery Management with a focus on Service Delivery Excellence and Industry Best Practice. A seasoned ITIL Practioner with multiple Enterprise ITSM implementations under her belt. She has worked in many industries including Oil and Gas, HealthCare, Technology and Education. She enjoys giving back and works as a Mentor for Women in Tech and students considering technology careers.
